My Fair Lady by Alan Jay Lerner is a musical revolving around the life of George Bernard Shaw’s play, Pygmalion. The musical is written as a sequel to the play’s first production, which was staged in London’s West End by Bernard Shaw himself. The play centers around Eliza Doolittle (Jane Russell), a Cockney flower girl that is taking vocal lessons from Professor Henry Higgins, who teaches her how to pass for a woman. Unfortunately, Eliza is not as graceful or eloquent as her tutor, and the professor realizes this only too well.

As part of the musical, Jane Roxburgh sings the role of Eliza, along with the other original cast members – Christopher Plummer, John Carradine, John Gielgud, Ian Brown, and Ian McLellan. The musical is also written and performed by Joiner as Mary Poppins, John Gielgud as Francis, and Ian Brown as Peter Rabbit. Alan Jay Lerner provides the score, with additional music and lyrics provided by William Hung. A book co-written with Joiner, who wrote the screenplays for Mary Poppins and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street My Fair Lady Musical by Alan Jay Lerner are another musical featuring a talented cast, with a great musical score.
